I just had a really weird thought. Sitting here listning to some podcasts before I go to sleep. And I realized that I am so excited about the re-emergance of the live read advertisement. They are more effective and much less unplesant to sit through. I mean when you hear an ad on tv or the radio it’s in stasis it’s the same ad over and over, it just makes you tune out and gloss over it. And let’s face it the ad people don’t get their monies worth and you are bored, but if you are listning to a podcast personality and they take 2 minutes to do a live read ad usualy it is worked into the show so there is still content there that you are interested in. It is less jarring and more effective, and I am fucking glad that these podcasts I listen to can stay “on the air” thanks to a few companies bringing back this lost form of advertising.
